Everyone is Equal, but not at one Point

Everyone is equal, but not at one point
Some people were undermined at the time
They had the soul, they had the spirit
They were called slaves, and they got through it

Named for hard work and enslavement
Things are different now
Every person still has their own opinion
Some people live in the time of hate

Everyone is equal but not at one point
They stated their opinion
That got them their freedom
Now millions are free
And they do as they please

Standing together as one
Never letting anyone get them down
You can’t choose what color you are
But no one should ever be put down

Everyone is equal, but not at one point
Hearing their cries and tears
One small voice is all it took
Preach the freedom for all to hear

Civil rights movement changed a lot
You can become anything you want in your own town
People are free now, life for them couldn’t be anymore different
No one will ever have to be put down again
