You will die by your by your own hands

Alone on a campus surrounded by people

Wondering how it came to this.

You will die going through the day having no one to talk to

Feeling alone, no one acknowledging your existence

You will die slowly step by step on a concrete floor

Dragging yourself through this mundane existence

You will die with your heart crying for attention

And your eyes yearning to see someone other than yourself

But no one comes and you are alone

Tempted to take a pill to end it all

One pill to change it all

To pass you on to a place where you are not alone

You feel the urge to stay

But realize who will miss you when you’re gone

No one.

You will die by your own hands

Taking the pill you tried to resist

Feeling the effect slowly take over your body

First your feet then your legs, your arms, your chest

As you finally close your eyes for good

You see someone coming and think its death and his followers

But realize it’s you

The essence of who you were
