Ere it Bursts
I cannot stand today
My heart dawdles behind
The burdens of yesterdays are
Willingly carried through
Todays for days and days.
I cannot stand today
My heart is eager to pass
The woes and cares I've
Yet to bear
beseech my
Wandering mind of
Tomorrows ne'er to be
Reached.
I cannot stand today my
Heart lingers elsewhere
In sunlight while a
Gentle breeze
Trickles through my hair,
On mountains, with their
Ice cold hearts, looming
O'er my head,
On waters vast and
Flowing past the
Ends of the earth.
My heart escapes with
Tender haste.
Ere it Bursts.
