A culture founded from oppression,
Now we’re practicing suppression.
It seems like hate has become an obsession,
What happened to procession?
If we keep this up we’ll start to see regression.

The right wing conservatives think it’s a decision.
But I have a vision,
Of a new world with a small revision.
Instead of all the judgement and misprision,
And constant derision,
Why can’t we create a world where love needs no supervision?

The African Americans marched on and never quit,
To not support equality would be to recommit.
You fight with the holy writ,
but you omit,
The fact that hatred is something Jesus would never commit.
The condition our country’s in now is unfit,
No freedom till we’re equal, I support it.
