Epic

The room is dark,

littered with remains from feasts of old.

The pair of men sit side-by-side.

Controllers in hand,

the mighty heroes' proclaim their glory.

"I am Gilgamesh,

the mighty king!

Two parts God and one of Man,

I am the strongest

and greatest in the land!"

"And I am Enkidu,

the falling star and man-beast!

Mighty is the king, Gilgamesh,

my companion and friend!

United we stand and are invincible!

Alone, we fall to ruin!"

The duo leaves their great city,

in search of their enemy.

In the night, Gilgamesh is plagued by nightmares.

The screen cuts to images-

the face of the creature they must slay.

Enkidu spoke to Gilgamesh,

"Together we will rise.

No man or beast may stop us now."

The pair journey on.

They arrive at last

in the grove of the mighty beast.

The great tree daemon

stands before them.

They fight with the fury of the gods

and before the night begins,

they stand victorious.

The pair cheers and collects their prize

before embarking on their journey home.

Upon reaching their kingdom,

Enkidu collapsed.

"No!" He cried.

Gilgamesh shook his head.

"I told you to heal after taking damage."

The heroes sigh in exasperation

as the screen before them goes black.

They prepare to try once more

as the words are displayed before them.
