Entwined

I am home in the feeling
of your skin against mine
nestled under blankets
as we lay there, side by side
Our touch--
night-blooming roses
in warm shades of darkness
I love you--
love the heat we share
in shafts of sunlight in the summertime
I love the way we fit
our legs all tangled up like vines
We are a yellow-white daydream
of lazy, hazy smiles
My heart is growing marigolds--
Here we are, entwined.
