Endure

As I hold my comrade’s hand and sing, my mind wanders to the day before
I was running from the beasts and horrified by the gore
The supposed protectors in blue are beating their fellow men
My anger and fear battle with each other, overflowing pass ten
The scene escalated and a giant force of water knocked down my friends
They screamed and cried and tried to stand up but it was futile in the end
I looked up to the sky
I asked a higher power why
But even today I still don’t know
So I stand here, whether in rain or snow
With my brothers and sisters of many colors and faces
Because we love each other, despite our conflicting races
We will use our minds, there's a better world to dream of
Join hands with each other and build a wall of love
