an elegy for a girl dead to the world
i cannot remember the day they buried you
but i remember the way they wept
they mourned the loss of a girl never meant to exist.
whisper in my ear your savagery
how i took her body for my own
but it was never hers in the first place.
mourn for the loss of an apologetic, sweet girl
and blame me for a death of a being meant to die anyway
i visit your grave,sometimes.
i read the name etched into the stone
it used to belong to me.
but i buried it along with you,
your hopeful heart and your feminity.
i do not miss you.

Is this a genuine" sombody died "story or is it more of a mental health "the old you died" story."? But overall it is a very good poem. :)
