The petals wilt
The sky turns gray
There is no color
The world is monochromatic
To survive you must be a darkness fanatic
Enormous thorns penetrate poor Mother Earth
Humans milked her for all she worth
Decrepit and dry
Acid tears of anguish she cry
Her children abused her
Forsake and misused her
But for them her everything she would lend
Backwards and forwards she would bend
She loved her children till the very end
But father time full with fury to the core
Left his family frozen forever more
