The Eastern National Basketball Association has come a long way,
With people around the world coming to play.
There are fourteen teams from all across the U.S.A.,
And one from Canada.

Let’s start in Brooklyn, with the Nets,
A wild-card team, let’s place some bets.
On to Boston, with the Celtics,
Seventeen championships to prove their worth.

Back up to New York, we meet the Knicks,
That’s where Patrick Ewing was an NBA pick.
Then to Philadelphia, home of the 76ers,
A tough team to beat, not one you’d want to meet.

The Atlantic division is rounded out by the Raptors,
Their history in the NBA doesn’t have many chapters.

We go central with the Chicago Bulls,
That’s where Michael Jordan earned his pull.
Then the Cleveland Cavaliers,
Still loathing at LeBron for leaving.

The Indiana Pacers are a powerful team,
Their toughness is a nightly theme.
And the Detroit Pistons just up the lake,
Not many championships for them.

And lastly in the fantastic Central Division,
The Milwaukee Bucks don’t need many revisions.

Lastly, the Atlanta Hawks and the Southeast Division.
Always a last minute playoff decision.
And the Charlotte Bobcats, the worst in the league,
They’ve had too many lottery picks.

Let’s not forget the Miami Heat,
The toughest team in the league, not one you’d want to meet.
And the Orlando Magic, flying high in Florida,
At least before Dwight Howard left.

And lastly, The Washington Wizards, in the capital of our nation,
Their comeback wins are viewed with acclimation.
