Earthly Love

When I'm away from him my soul feels cold, my arms feel empty, my nights feel lonely.

He is my protector, my friend, my love, my connection to something that is outside of myself.

With him my heart feels at peace and as I hold him in my arms, I hold him close.

Feeling his soft touch, smelling the scents of cold, dirty leaves, and the earth.

The earth is a strong scent on him.

If I close my eyes and breath him in, I am transported into a leaf pile where the crisp leaves are a mixture of dirt and clean cool air. The scent of cold wind is also present.

I open my eyes and see that his are closed as he breathes in the scent of warmth. Of human. Of home.

I stroke his head and run my hand down his small body and he responsds to my touch.

I look into his deep green eyes and his pupils dialate, letting me know he loves me too.

He reassurse this love with a deep, deep purr.
