Edgar Allan Poe is my inspiration for the majority of my poems.

Dismal beginings grew into something much better.

Garish ways got him in to trouble when he was younger.

Although he did drop out of military that his uncle paid for. 

Really an unusual fellow but an amazing one at that. 

Allan was his middle name

Longing for a sense of purpose is what he needed.

Love of his cousin is what he earned.

All together a remarkable writer

No one then seemed to think so.

Poe is his last name.

Overall quite demonic and demented in the ways of his writing.

Everyone now knows the way that Poe wrote.
