A pretty pink flamingo,
A bright blue balloon;
A scarlet red tomato,
A shining white moon.
A golden sunset,
A yellow bee;
A pale green Muppet,
A deep blue sea.

All of these phrases I have heard,
I cannot comprehend.
Surely they all must be absurd,
And people must pretend.

Can it be there?
Can it be seen?
Can it be smelt?
If it exists it’s not fair,
That I, so clever and keen,
Am so lost. Can it be felt?

What is Color?
I know my eyes are capable,
So why is the descriptor,
Indescribable?
