to brighten just one individual's day

with those words

to bring just one smile to someone's face

with those characters

to instill happiness

 

to be picked up by a publisher

to be told I have done something well

to see my characters exist in a realm

beyond my mind and the paper

is a dream seemingly too wild

for my reality

 

or I will go

to college

and earn a PhD

I will be a physicist

 

I want to create

and support

and experiment

I want to protect the people

who protect us without being asked

I want to change someone's world
