Drowning

Location

Underwater, with no clue how far away the surface is

My lungs are burning, arms are struggling

Climbing to sweet release, I desire to breathe

Just when I'm about to breach,

Icy hands pull me down

Don't bring me down, I'm scared to drown

Dark arms tug at me,

Reminding me

Of the monstrosity

I seem to be

But now I see

I open my mouth, let the air come out

Sometimes it's better if you drown
