Dreams of Phantom

Laying in bed

I can't sleep

There's so much going through my head

I try to fight it

But I'm too weak

So I just lay there

And then I weep

As I mesmerize our times together

See the smiles and hear the laughter

Oh how I wish my life's just misread

And I'd just be home instead

People see me, they do not know

Every day I wear a mask

And I pretend that all is well

That is my very task

I guess I am good in this act

Because no questions do they ask

But whatever they think,

whether they see through me or not,

I know I'm not complete and that's a fact

Laying in bed

I can't sleep

So I just lay there

And then I weep
