DREAMS FADE AWAY

Dreams Fade Away: by Paul Gray

Last night I dreamed of wondrous things
Enchantments yet untold
Adventures far away from here
Of loves I've shared in life both new and old

I dreamed of worlds so far away
No sky reveals their light
Of faces with such beauty that
Most folks would trade their all for such a sight

Where sounds and voices touch the sky
With crystal clear delight
Where Angels sing their tactile songs
Throughout the day and softly through the night

I dreamed adventures yet unheard
Invented just for me
Which so engaged my thinking mind
Such ne’re before could I have thought to see

Then morning came where dreams abate
Enchantments bid adieu
With longing deep within this heart
Dreams fade away and I’m still missing you
