From a subconscious thought to a conscious one,

An unknown period of time,

Wants to dreams,

Dreams to goals,

Till finally I’m kissing starlight,

Pencils tap,

My memory is pulled back,

Everyday moments largely forgotten,

The struggle once real,

In its den now sleeps,

Perseverance and guidance victorious,

Back in the present,

A young mind still learning,

Wondering, frustrated, struggling,

A smile and nod,

Along they plod,

Similar to me before and now,

Always learning,

Stretching, growing,

A constant growth for us all.
