Dreaming in Black

Her raven tresses and her azure eyes, overwhelm me daily with great surprise. A smile that grabs my heart in her hand, and takes me places I don’t understand.

She is in my heart, she is in my mind, everywhere ahead, everywhere behind. My breath escapes me as she walks on by, I’ve fallen for her, I can’t explain why.

But alas, she remain so far away, as I am hoping for that one sweet day. She looks at me and so gently explains how her love can break these stone cold chains.

But my heart’s imprisoned, nowhere to go, so her love is a dream I will never know.
