Dream Job

Location

Every child has a job that they dream of at night.

Every girl is a princess, while every boy will fire fight.

Some play make-believe; some play in the yard with a ball.

With all of this play, children will stumble and fall.

Everyone hits speed bumps along the way.

That's why I dream of being a nurse one day.

A pediatric nurse, to be more precise.

I'll treat a child's wounds, and I'll bring them some ice.

I'll help a girl turn her cough back into a laugh.

I'll help a boy's aching head, so he can get back to his math.

Every child, boy or girl, has a job that they dream of at night.

Mine is to make sure they can keep their dream in sight.
