That dream job

We all remember being kids.

We remember wanting to be a princess or a firefighter or the president.

And as we got older, those dreams became less and less realistic.

Being a senior in high school, I've learned deciding on a job is quite difficult.

The world has unlimited options and they expect you to choose one!

Going back and forth with different careers you may or may not like is stressful, no doubt.

At some point you just want to give up and be a hobo, honestly.

But then, at some lucky point in your decision process, you know,

You know what makes you happy, what you enjoy doing and what you could spend the rest of your life doing.

Thankfully, I have come to that conclusion.

It was not easy, I will tell you that. But once I knew, it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders!

My dream job, that one job I would be more than willing to do for the rest of my life, would be a Young Life leader.

Yes, it doesn't pay a ridiculous amount of money, nor does it have a secure foothold for the future.

But it has God, and kids who need the acceptance they deserve.

Being a leader is one of those jobs you love because you simply get to change the life of high school kids.

I personally have been impacted tremendously by my own Young Life leader, which has only shown me how many benefits this job has.

It's not always about the money, or the popularity. It's the lives you change along the way.
