Dream Job

Windows down, smoke rolling in

The rumble of 800 horses ringing my ears

Sideways is where I choose to steer

It would make me feel complete

With so much torque at my feet

Drifting, is the dream that I seek

Wheels screaming and peeling

But it’s a serene feeling

The ultimate control

Fluttering the gas pedal, engine screaming

Knowing when to shift, solely on feel

Flames from the backfire beaming

To the car gods, I will always kneel

Hopefully one day I won’t be dreaming
