The Dream huh?

My Ama told me that the Dream is real

I asked her is it really worth it?

Why my parents gotta work like this?

Working in menial and degrading jobs, for what, just another check huh?

South of the border they come from, a small town called San Juan Amecac.

Came here for a better life, chasin' that Dream

I wanna believe that it's true, that it was worth

But what if it wasn't, what if they fell for a hopeless Dream

Their first child graduated last year, now she's in college

Now their second about to graduate, going to college soon

Had better opportunities than them

My Apa made it to the sixth grade, Grandpa couldn't pay for no more school

My Ama made it to the ninth grade, same issue, no money

I could write about the how money make a Dream come true

But I'm deflecting from the real problem, don't y'all see?

Trust me I'm no King Kendrick, but let my words reach the other side
