Down this Road

I took a walk down this road

Just to see how far it goes

Don’t have a map

Don’t have any signs

Just can’t look back

Not this time

Can’t have a future

Hanging on to the past

Can’t let things go

When you’re making it last

So, I take my shoes off and let my feet

Touch the cool, rough concrete

No street lamps

No city lights

Just my heart in my hand

And only a little bit of faith to be my guide

Somethings don’t have to make sense

Like this journey tonight

Just trying to find some confidence

Just trying to feel alright

So, I took a walk down this road

Just to see how far it goes.
