Don't..... Please......Please Don't

Attachment is too risky

Attachment is a universal sign of something that can be broken

Whether it be from love, hardship, differences

It was never meant to be attached or fawned over

Don’t get use to the smiles

Don’t get use to my kisses

Don’t get use to my hugs and laughter

For you’ll want to leave it sooner than you think

Don’t get use to my hands in yours

Don’t get use to my name

You’ll hurt at the thought of it

Don’t get use to my eyes

Don’t get use to my kindness

You go around seeking me in everyone you’ll look from now on

Don’t get use to my embrace

Don’t get use to they way I lay beside you

Don’t get use to my outline

Don’t get use to my shyness

You lose yourself quicker that way

I don’t want to find the door again so quickly

Don't keep treasures you can't carry

Don't get use to my voice

It will mock you as you sleep at night

Don't get use to my warmth

Don't get use to my touch

Don't get use to me, please

Don’t

Get

Use

To

Something

That

Is

Never

Yours
