Don't Let This Happen to Her

Location

Femininity, subservience, inferiority,

Instilled in us by society.

Lack of control over our own destiny.

Enforcing economic dependency.

The glass ceiling has cracked but has yet to break.

They give us no way to escape.

Daughters who aren’t married are sold to traffickers.

Don’t let this happen to her.

Men’s crimes forgiven by giving her up for torture.

Don’t let this happen to her.

We the repressed are being put to the test,

The greatest challenge of our lives,

Put power into women and let us rise,

For every woman’s sake, this glass ceiling has to break.
