Don't Hurt Me

The most important thing: don't hurt me

Though I may anger you don't hurt me

Like a flower I see you blossom

Instant relief no grief don't hurt me

I'm happy beyond worldy aspects

My soul no longer cold don't hurt me

Don't sacrifice yourself for me please

We're partners love garners don't hurt me

To last we must work together, love

So content no lament don't hurt me

Take me and let me be one with you

Long happy not lacking don't hurt me

Equal trade of our chores and our love

No bias behind us don't hurt me

Never should you want to leave our home

In a rage we're engaged don't hurt me

Faithful must we always be my dear

No one else just ourselves don't hurt me

Like commandments these must we answer

Never breaking; painstaking don't hurt me

And through this our love will be so strong

That the Howe name will grow don't hurt me
