Don't go there

Don't get shot if you end up going.
Why are you even considering it?
You will throw away your life by enrolling.
The high school of thugs and violence.
The school of black kids is what they mean but won't admit.
The white kid from the suburbs will not survive.
But they are wrong.
Instead of bullets shot rockets are propelled in science.
In math everyone laughs at a corny pi joke.
Stereotypes disappear in this school of acceptance.
The highschool of kindess and diversity is what this place is.
I actually thrive.

This poem was written about my choice to go to New London High school, a school that is the most diverse school in my state, and how I am so thankful I made the chose to go there.
