Divorce

Stuttered words,

And forced new smiles,

The image of a rainy day.

A sour treat,

Instead of sweet,

As the lies spring fourth like tears,

The taste of forgery seems like blood.

The words of course,

Do not please, the heart of an innocent child.

Divide, divorce, disclosure.

Gosh, this hurts to read. Divorce is such a powerful topic particularly from a child's perspective, great poem.
