Why do we have so much hate,

Why can we not get along,

Why do we treat people the way we do?

Growing up you always heard,

"Treat others the way you want to be treated,"

But why isn't it that easy?

Our world needs to change,

We need to change,

We all need to show the respect everyone deserves.

Respect is what we demand, 

Respect is what we yearn for,

So the people around us do as well.

Try harder throughout the day,

Make an effort to respect others,

Be the person others look up to,

Be the person who makes a change,

In this world.
