DisneyWorld to Adult World

As a kid I adored everything Disney.

The Princesses especially, like one red haired mermaid Ariel.

I still remember screaming as I saw the sign

And overjoyed at the sight of my favorite princess.

Now I look back and I pine for those carefree days, when all that mattered

were Disney, playdates, and fun.

Now I see how much more there is to life.

Now I have gradually entered adultland.

That not so magical place of jobs, college, bills and more.

But I feel so accomplished at the end of the day

And I look forward to the future, come what may.

And who says I can't go back every once in a while

to the place of dreams and smiles.
