One ugly has divided the world
Separating friends from one another
Causing brothers to go against each other
Everywhere, eyes are judging others
Different skin colors and hair textures
Why should any of it matter?
They are just appearances
Things that we can only see with our eyes
Beneath it all, we are all the same
Human beings with the same feelings and emotions
We’re different, yet the same
But one word has corrupted our minds
We believe our own brothers are our enemies
Dangerous threats
Menaces to society
None of it is true, though we believe it to be
What ever happened to the thought of living in peace?
In a place where everyone could be together
Regardless of the color of their skin
Learning to accept others for who they are
If we continue to think negatively
The world will never change
