Disappearing Dad

Where's the one I thought I knew,
He held me tight when I was brand new,
Through thick and thin
Not now but then
He sewed me tight with a brand new pin
And wrote my name with a nice ink pen
What did he build
Nothing has been billed,
Where's the one I thought I knew,
He held me tight when I was brand new,
I've been counting the days
But maybe I'm in a daze,
He's tied me in a knot
Now here he is not,
A car or a plane
My heart is now plain,
The face I wore
Underneath a horrible war
Your still regret the things you left
But you never take the right but instead a left
You need to change
You left me there like some lent and old change,
Where is the one I thought I knew
He held me close when I was brand new
