Diamond in the Rough

Location

Mr.nameless switch seats

with me, walk in my shoes

as a modern day urban student

whos odds have been stacked against him

Feels like I've been sent in a

school of fishes who cant swim

an ive been blessed with a

 a big fin

im in a class of loud mouth assholish seniors

who cant speak or spell an yet you decide to choose

them to be readers

We walk into an objective on the board

notes an a worksheet

you get frustrated when interrupted

an spit threats of suspension an write ups

when you speak

when you relize no ones listening you give up

and give the work with no direction

answering no questions and giving no suggestions

like a substitute you sit there and read

and look up with an occasional glance

hoodlums with tatoos an sagged pants

an no chance of success

talk loudly interupting my thought process

theres no contest between I an them

but they are interupting my consentration

an my only reort is music

but once put in the ear phones you

give a warning of confiscation

See Mr.Nameless

i have a future an i refuse to let

this stop me

I have a family to support much like you

So dispite you

and these other obstacles

I still find it possible to get out of this hell called class

because the fruits of my labor will be to pass

So if you refuse to help me an realize that im serious

I'll step on you along with the others

(bell rings)

Goodbye first period
