Detox

you used to be my nicotine

reliance fades with doubt

can finally call my system clean

made me seem calm, composed, serene

but inside, I could shout

you use to be my nicotine

out future had been long foreseen

discomfort was throughout

can finally call my system clean

quit and relapsed as if routine

an addict, one devout

you used to be my nicotine

infected me, no cure vaccine

I had to bleed you out

can finally call my system clean

though life missing you seemed obscene

much better off without

you used to be my nicotine

can finally call my system clean
