Desperate Plea

A broken soul, a wish to mend,

A heart aspires, desires bend.

Among the stars, a secret plea,

A quiet hope, unseen, never free.

Through mirrors, expectations call,

In silent rooms, where tears fall.

With growing shadows drawing nigh

A cry, a silent shout, a fleeting sigh.

Beneath the smiles, beneath the cheer,

A lie hides doubt, a trace of fear.

In every word, an unspoken plea,

A wish to simply, truly – be.

Mirthless laughter fills the air

With masquerades to pay the fare

The price of friendship, forever fleeting

A hidden star, forever grieving.
