Desolate

Desolate

Joel 2:3 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Like fire they devour everything in their path;
a flame blazes behind them.
The land looks like the Garden of Eden before them,
but behind them there is only a desolate wilderness—
for nothing escapes them!

Observe

Look at folks around us, “All seem to writhe in pain”

Spiritual sickness not expected in their faces drained of color

The Truth, Who could have bound us, will He return again

And that in times unexpected and that to our own horror?

We chose the worldly cares in such destiny to dare

Ignoring the Hand that constantly reaches out to us

Seeking peace and comfort in the material we wear

Insecure in this cloak of comfort to hide the doubt in us
