Wisdom Can Lengthen One’s Life

11 Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing;

it benefits those who see the light of day.

 

Thank God for the temporary

What a blessing is the line of time

For if the temporal would be Eternal

Evil would be called sublime

 

Thank God for His patience

As He smiles at the "failing" me

Even when I seem ferocious

He helps me to clearly see

 

The condition of my fallen-ness

And the depravity of “old” me

He lifts me into His righteousness

Just where I always hunger to be

 

Thank God for the Lord Jesus

The true love of my reborn spirit

He surely is the most precious

As I can’t wait for that to inherit
