Romans 7:5-6 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful desires, aroused by the law, were active in the members of our body to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the law, because we have died to what controlled us, so that we may serve in the new life of the Spirit and not under the old written code.Deliverance

 

Deliverance from the law

having died to what held me.

Now I can be a spiritual man

being led by Jesus Christ.

 

Through His Spirit placed in me

I can now serve my Master.

Reborn in newness of the Spirit

to everlasting Life.

 

Put to death iniquity

and the sins ... that easily beset me,

through the Power of The Lord,

Who now lives in me

.

The wrath of God will pass me by

and victory is mine.

Just through obedience to The Christ,

Who came to set me free.

 

I died so I could live again.

I’m hidden in my Lord.

He is my Life ... He is my “me”

He made me fully whole.

 

My life should now reflect again

what happened deep within me.

A little me ... but mostly Him

Who now directs my goals.

Colossians 3:2-5 

2 Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth, 3 for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with him. 5 So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry.
