Death's Revenge

I have loved you with every single breath

But Death never gives in to Love’s great will

And you have seen the fate of sudden death

Though love is sweet, revenge is bitter still

You shall love me from past your early grave

Revenge on Death should soon be ever mine

And only with my death could Death be saved

For Death owes Life and Love a daunting fine

To look love in the face and break one’s heart

And I have lost to Death and Death to Love

Now Death will tear the world and Love apart

Since fate gave Death a raven not a dove

For Death loved Life but could not be with her

So bitter Death gives pain that Love endures
