Death Valley by: Jaay Dee Kayy

Sometimes I wanna double up my cup and sip on a dark potion,

Go to two worlds and divide me with no quotient,

Put cement around my ankles and throw me into an ocean,

Swallow water, start choking, until there's no motion;

Toting the smoke and staying woke becomes my devotion,

My tear ducts puff up from my fear of cups overflowing,

Dodging and ducking the judgement of the ONE ALL-KNOWING,

Yet HE offers us forgiveness and you and I know it;

Life's a big game of survival, survival of the fittest,

But you're your own rival, only rise if you surrender,

A ride on the road to glory, yourself denied importance,

Important that you kill it, kill that thing that's making noises;

I know this may sound morbid, but you gotta be triumphant,

Deny yourself daily, until HE sounds the trumpets,

I swear that day is coming faster than you can imagine,

As simple as teacher tallies in the darkest of death valleys.

(As I'm walking through the valley of ther shadow of death, I fear no evil...)
