Death...

Death came to me and in my room

Saw me in the corner, a deflated  balloon

He asked "why are you this way?" & I replied

"I'm sorry I even tried"

I had these ideas of grandeur

Which were meant to lead to my savior

But my wings that once flew me so high

Have left me blind in my mind's eye

Everything that once gave me serenity

Is nothing but a silent melody

My past and present once combined

Lead my life to unwind
