Dear Younger Me, It's An Older You

Dear Younger Me, It’s and Older You

How I miss the days we played,

all the fun things we used to do.

Dear Younger Me, It’s and Older You

The years are rough, it’s just not like the way it used too be.

Think Think More,

Imagine less,

Realities expectations run through my head as I try to rest.

Dear Younger Me, What would you do?

Invent a story? Ahh that’s true,

Escape into our little world is what we used to do.

Dear Younger Me, Why Can’t I Pass

Through the glass

into the realm

where we used to be,

Anything, That we could dream.

Travel as any soul, or at any speed.

Dear Younger Me, I wanna go

Back into the world Narnia

to the forests where the elfs would go.

Dear Younger Me, Why must I stay

I never stopped believing,

I never ever let go!

Yet my world is slipping

And my heart is gripping,

It clings and clutches to that world we used to know.

Dear Younger Me, I can see it’s due

The world I love is drifting

Farther and farther away from me.

Oh so bitterly true.

Have I grown to old?

Have I lost my faith?

Why does it have to hurt so much,

I feel like I'm a disgrace!

Help Me Younger Me,

What must I do?

To get back in the realm of worlds,

that I would so easily get into.

Dear Older Me, It’s a younger you

The world you live will always be here,

There’s nothing to fear.

Your growing up,

As we must do.

It is not the ending,

Just the beginning of something new.

Dear Older Me, Don’t you cry

Why are you dreading on the words good bye?

Oh my older Me, the love for you,

The love we shared, that we filled and flowed through.

My Older me, Time has passed.

You don’t need to escape through the glass,

Nor run too your endless past.

Dear Older Me, How far you’ve come

Your not that little girl or the place she came from.

What you’ve learned, you must pass on,

Dreams and hopes must be carried on.

Dear Older Me, It’s farewell

The adventures we’ve had.

The friends we've made,

The hopes we gave,

Will continue on in our world

Until the end of our days.

Dear Older Me, Dry your eyes

You see this isn’t a permanent goodbye.

We’ll never be gone,

Or far from you.

The passage is always open

And the days are anew.

Dear Older Me, It’s your younger you

Just remember to keep dreaming,

And to never stop believing in the things we used to do.

Dear Older Me, never let go

If you ever want that adventure

You know the place that you can go.

Dear Older Me, I really love you

Everything that you've accomplished,

Everything you want to do.

Dear Older Me, What more can I say

Your an inspiriation to this world,

You've had stumbles, but that's okay.

Dear Older Me, I'm saying Farewell.

I love you my sweet darling

I know that you'll do well.
