Dear My City,

To whom it may concern in the city of Detroit,

in my city we are sick but not flu like sick

but like glue we stick pride joy and the occasional sidekick

we are colder than the winter days longer than the summer nights

sit back chillen listening to our feelings asking what the deal is

making sure we all good while im spreading my love joy feelings

i cant express enough how much i love my city

we on the comeup while the kids runup

up and down the block that is

if you not from my city you wouldnt know

this is how i feel from the East to the West and the North to the South

i just want to cherrish this city for as long as i can

Yours truly

-Virginia Durham-
