Dear Love

Thank you.

Dear Love, I thank you.

Without you, I would not be where I am today.

Without you, none of us would have found our place.

You are the Master of the Universe,

and you make this world go round.

You are not always alright visible,

but your powers know no bounds.

I see you in the flowers,

In the delicate way they bloom.

I see you in my mother,

In the way she helps chase away my gloom.

You've given me comfort in my darkest hour,

As a refuge from the storm.

And you've given me excitement like a superpower,

As a tool for self-reform.

You've given me hope,

And you've given me life.

You make me who I am,

And without you,

our brightest moments would be as dark as night.

I may have a brain,

And I may have courage.

But in my heart,

I know that my ability to love is what will make me flourish.

So Dear Love, I thank you.

I thank you for all that you are.

Dear Love, I thank you.

Because with you by my side, I'm bound to go far.
