Dear Iceland

Dear Iceland,

“Almost eradicated” the headline reads.

Tests spot extra genes

Future without disease.

Ninety-percent

One loop too many

Snipped.

Green goggles.

Disney songs.

Library short cuts.

Stories told.

Joy woven

From a boy of

One loop too many.

Questions circle.

Certain pain?

Hope of gain?

Choice chosen wrong

Pierces two.

One loop too many

Unraveled.

Painless life,

Earth’s folly.

The Fall birthed hurt,

The Son saved hope.

Someday,

One loop too many

Perfected.

View from above,

Spiraling down.

Remember the flower,

Woven of

One loop too many

Stubborn,

Strong,

Thriving.

Perfect fall,

Who can attain?

Creation mirrored in

Creator’s eyes:

People of

One loop too many.
