Dear Future Husband

Dear Future Husband,

When I dream, I dream of you

Laying next to me

In our bed of love so true.

The world could be shaking,

But I wouldn’t care

With no wish of breaking

The bond that we’d share.

Dear Future Husband,

Where are you now,

Where will you go?

What will you do,

When will you show?

My dear, there’s no way to know

The impatience I feel

For the life we will hold.

Dear Future Husband,

How long must I wait

Before you’re my husband

And lover and mate?

Do you ever realize

How often I submit

To the thought of being yours,

The thought of having kids?

Dear Future Husband,

I love you and miss you

And I dream of the day

when I get to kiss you

After our vows

And our binding promise

To be together forever

And live as God wants us.
