Dear Friend,

Sat, 04/27/2019 - 19:52 -- Nasa

I was at a dark place,
I was all threads and shreds.
I was in need of a friend not because I had none
but because a broken heart shys away from love.
You eased your way into my life with laughter;
you were real support,
you were understanding.
Your friendship wooed my heart out of hiding
and gave springs to her steps.
Time and distance wasn't a deciding factor:
You were a balm.
