Dear Father

Dear Father,

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice the piercing holler.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice you weren't acting proper.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice you are trying to be stronger.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice your thoughts were littered with horror.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice how you screamed at the doctor.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice it seems you were hit by a bomber.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice someone ran off with your lucidity like a bank robber.

I never meant to bother,

But I couldn't help but notice the whispers of "he's a goner".

I never meant to bother,

But Father I couldn't help but notice your demeanor has been slaughtered.

I never meant to bother,

Your daughter.
