Dear the Bullied

Dear the Bullied,

For every harsh name you have been called

Think of the better ones that call you

‘Friend’, ‘daughter’, ‘cousin’, ‘grandchild’ or ‘boyfriend or girlfriend’

Dear the Bullied,

For every hit you have taken

Think of ever hug you have received in its place

Dear the Bullied,

For every degrading word someone has used to describe you

Think of the sweet words others close have said

From “You are beautiful, intelligent, kind, generous, amazing, incredible...”

Dear the Bullied,

For every cruel remark that makes you want to die

Think of the value of your life

Through the eyes of the people that love you

Who’d say “You’re worth more than what you will ever know”

Dear the Bullied,

Next time your bully confronts you

Gather all the people that call you loving names

That describes you in the sweetest way

That could not live without you in their life

And take them to one that dared

To take you from their life

Dear the Bullied,

You are worth more than dime

And let anyone tell you differently.
